The quality is exceptional even though it's made in China. The hardware is mediocre. Before assembly I moved the pedals to test the chain operation and noticed a slight bind with an audible tick. I removed the chain covers and noticed the masterlink was installed backwards as shown in the photo. I also noticed the absence of flat washers where the slotted holes are. I removed the masterlink and installed the opposite way and that fixed the issue. Came with all the tools required to assemble which was pretty sweet. FYI...the front suspension is for looks only it's not functional. The description of this item makes you think both rear tires are driven by the chain but this is NOT true. I modified ours by welding on a toothed sprocket as shown in the photo. Making the sprocket took a little time, but was able to use the existing sprocket to trace out the profile onto a large round washer. *EDIT* I highly recommend not doing this modification! With both tires locked up you are unable to steer! The inside tire needs to turn slower than the outside tire. After some experience with the go-kart pedaling is fairly difficult if you live on a hill. This toy is meant for flat surfaces like a parking lot for example.My older daughters each got a Berg Buddy Lua last Christmas and have loved them. We got our son this Berg Reppy Racer this year. The models are of different build quality and some features such as the tire material are different. My only concerns were screws that were tightened too tight in the factory that caused the plastic housing to crack and break during shipping. Also, part of the main tubular steel connection point was dented which made assembly of the front and rear halves very difficult. Is it rideable? Yes. Will it be safe? Yes. Assembly on Christmas Eve was difficult and I wanted him to be able to see it Christmas morning but I am not as satisfied as I was with the other 2 carts we have. I thought spending more money for the Berg product meant quality……This kid cart was very well made. The parts were sturdy, it looks cool and was easy to assemble. The seller was also very helpful with some questions we had. It would fit most kods 3-7 like they say. The colors really stand out too. The only thing I would say it needs is straps for the feet peddles. I might look into some other Berg go karts with hybrid power, seeing as how this gokart is high quality I know now their other power carts will probably be just as good. Thank you!I gave this kart to my 2.5 year old for Christmas.... he loves it. I also gave my 4.5 year old the buddy version which is built much better and easier to assemble. Overall the kart is nice and works for what he needs now. I just wish it had better tires like the buddy has... I will definitely be upgrading him in a couple years, but this is a great learning kart for him.Took about 2hrs to assemble by myself on Christmas night a little tired and a little tipsy . Double checked making sure everything was tight the next morning. He has been driving it around the house ever since. Perfect for a 4-5 year old .Great pedal car for my grandson. Luckily my husband was able to improvise. Other than that, it’s a pretty nice bike.Der Aufbau geht sehr schnell und ist einfach. Das Gerät ist robust und sollte lange halten aber folgende Punkte sind nicht optimal und für den Preis eigtl. zu erwarten. Der Zentrierring der Lenkstange hat im Gehäuse zu viel Spiel. Durch das Lenken dreht sich die Zentrierung aus dem Gehäuse und das Lenken wird zum Kraftakt. Diesen Zentrierring kann man nicht fester ziehen um diesen Fehler zu beheben. Die Zentrierung müsste viel besser im Gehäuse verdrehfest verankert werden. Hier muss der Hersteller nachbessern! Kunststoffteile mit Klickverbindung sind nicht für mehrmaliges De- und Montieren gedacht. Einfache Verschraubungen wären sinnvoller. Die Reifen sind ein bisschen zu weich, Splitt Steine drücken sich in den Reifen und bleiben dort dauerhaft. Die Pedalen bräuchten bessere Lager, dass der Widerstand geringer wird. Wenn der Hersteller sein Produkt weiter entwickeln will und die Fehler beheben möchte, kann er sich bei technischen Fragen gerne an mich wenden. Ich beschreibe gerne nochmal ausführlich, was an dem Produkt nicht gut ist und wie man es besser machen kann.I build everything at home and this was a tough build esp for Santa to take all the credit for it lol. I thought this kart was 5 Star but then I realised that it doesn't have breaks especially for going down hills? I became livid esp for the price of the kart. I have no other choice to give this a 1 star as I have to watch my son like a hawk when he's on it.Unless i'm missing something or until berg can fix this other ways the review will have to stay put.Das Kettcar kam sehr schnell an und es sieht toll aus. Aber das sind schon fast die einzigen positiven Punkte für ein Kettcar zu diesem Preis.Das Lenkrad scheint sich zwischendrin festzustellen, daß Lenken wird extrem schwer oder gar unmöglich, es hat keinen Leerlauf, sprich wenn man einen Hügel hinab fährt, drehen sich die Pedalen unendlich schnell und die Füße müssen in der Luft gehalten werden. Dabei gab es schon die ein oder andere Verletzung.Zudem ist vorne viel zu wenig Gewicht. Wenn unser Sohn losfahren möchte, hebt das Kettcar vorne etwas ab, wenn es leicht bergauf steht. Die Räder sind so weich, dass schon nach der ersten Fahrt zig Steine drin steckten. Alles in allem enttäuschend. Es ginge zurück, würde es nach uns Eltern gehen.Excellent go kart, my 4 year old loves it and has just peddled it about 2 miles on a family walk. It’s well built, but not much grease on the wheel spindles or any moving joints, I’d advise using some when building it out the box to keep it rolling freely, no brakes either so stopping is by locking up the peddles, he seems to have the hang of that though. It’s a bit pricey but definitely worth the extra money, feels like it’s made to last.My granddaughter loves the go cart. It's sturdy, well designed, and will bring hours of pleasure to a five year old. It was fairly straight forward to assemble even for her grandfather.
